Robert Clark is an established performer, collaborator and teacher having worked across Europe and North America.


As a choreographer Robert is a resident artist at Greenwich Dance and a Work Place (associate) artist with The Place, London. In 2012 Robert was selected to receive support through the  Arts Council England run Escalator Dance scheme focussed on the East of England. Previously Roberts work had been supported by national Dance Agency Danc4 with whom he was an associate artist from 2009-2013. Robert received the Simone Michelle Choreography Prize from Trinity Laban and has been the recipient of a Dance U.K Choreographic Observership Bursary.


To date Robert’s choreography has been performed in festivals and venues in London, Berlin, Venice, Mulhouse, Oberwart, Ravena, Nottingham, Bouxwiller and Bassano, including Tanztage 08, Touch Wood 09 & 11, Nottdance 09,13 Bmotion 2010, Springloaded 2012 & 13 and Pulse 2012. Recent commissions include works on EDge, Bodhi Project, London Contemporary Dance School, Salzburg Academy of Experimental Dance, University of Bedfordshire, Dance 4’s graduate performance group and with Pan -European commission program Beyond Front@ 2013/14.


As a freelance performer Robert has worked with companies including Sasha Waltz and Guests, Cie Felix Ruckert, Hans van den Broek/Cie Soit, Le Grand Jeu/Louis Zeigler, Vincent Dance Theatre, Charles Linehan Dance Company, Lisa Torun Dance Company, Barebones (Rui Horta and Garry Stewart/Australian Dance Theatre), Ben Wright’s Bgroup, Aletta Collins, Laila Diallo, IGLOO, Ben Ash, and Troika Ranch amongst others.


Robert has taught classes and workshops for Degree level students and professionals in Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Greece, Sweden and England for organisations including Greenwich Dance Agency, The Place, London School of Contemporary Dance, B Motion/Opera Estate, Dance 4, Fundacja Wspierania Inicjatyw Tworczych, Associazione Cantieri Assoociaziona L’Agile Immaginario, Kinitiras Choreolab, Statens Scenekunstskole in Denmark, DiD, Danscentrum
Syd, SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy for Dance), and Beyond Front@ amongst others

Robert trained at the Laban Centre London BA (hons), before going on to complete his training at London Contemporary Dance School with EDge with whom he danced repertory that included “Set and Reset” by Trisha Brown.
